Two Chinese green-glazed flasks, possibly Liao dynasty, the first modelled with two figures of men on the crest and incised with scrolls, the second with vertical ribbed and studwork decoration, 26.5cm and 29.5cm

The larger flask modelled with figures of men to the top has some slight flaking to the glaze on the crest and around the spout of one side and has mineral residue on the exterior in patches all over, a large area of the base is unglazed, the second jar has a large number of glaze losses to the handle and around the rim and again has some mineral deposits on the exterior of the glaze, the foot is partially glazed, the handle has been broken off and reglued, otherwise in reasonable condition.
Provenance: the owner purchased these flasks from dealers in the Hollywood Road area of Hong Kong in the 1990's.
