A pair of Chinese sancai glazed pottery ridge tiles, Ming dynasty, each modelled in the form of a warrior riding a horse, height 34cm and 34.5cm, losses, wood stands

Both of the horses are lacking their tails and their reins that were in the hands of the figures, the first example has chip loss to the hat of the rider, and a repair to his right arm and some general small areas of flaking to the glaze, the horse also lacking its left ear and has chip to the corner of the base, the second figure missing a finial on his hat, there is a repair to his right arm and repairs to his left arm where the old restoration is now discoloured, same again to the horses hind legs and to the front legs there is old repairs which is now discoloured, general restoration and chips to the base.
