A good Japanese ivory okimono of a hare, Meiji period, modelled gnawing away at a nut, with amber inset eyes, engraved two character signature to the base, length 8.5cm excl. wood stand

The hare's eyes are of two slightly different colours, one more dull orange, the other more pinky orange, the hare has losses to both front teeth, please see photo's, otherwise in good condition with no restoration or cracks, the accompanying wood stand has some slight chips to the edge.
