James Standring recorded at Rochdale 1770-1792.
Case of good rich dark reddish mahogany colour, in a fair state of polish, brass finials dents, looks like the middle one is loose but still present, door to the hood is loose, held in place by two sections of thin metal and will need attention, there is fine horizontaly split running across the top of the trunk door and a further split half way across the bottom of the trunk door near the hinge, dial in good order, movement in good clean condition, looks intact but not tested for timekeeping, bears a clock repairers label dated 2000 which may well be when last attended to, movement and seat board do not fit well with the case suggesting that this may well be a marriage, comes with a brass faced pendulum and two cast iron weights,
