Oil on original canvas which is now a little saggy, back of the canvas has been painted white presumably to try and strengthen it, to the front the paint has a slightly matted tone and might well need a clean, there is some fine craquelure running in areas of the flesh notably her upper left arm, top of one thigh and section of the right arm, this cracking does look like the paint is just starting to lift away, further lighter cracking in some of the pale blue paint, signed lower left, housed in an old possibly original gilt frame which is in fair order.
