George Hewett of Marlborough. A George III oak eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch arched brass dial with moonphase, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, signed in the arch, H.7ft 9in.

Case of an even mid brown tone, looking slightly lighter to the bottom of the trunk, pediment with the brass finials looks to be later constructed, dial in good condition, movement complete though not tested for timekeeping, seatboard looks a good fit for the cheeks, comes with trunk key, winding key, brass faced pendulum and two lead weights, but for the later work to the top of the hood, good original condition.
