A rare Rene Lalique 'Margaret' pattern topaz glass twin handled vase, designed 1929, Marcilhac, no.1030, the large heavy satin finished rectangular vase with canted corners, flanked by two squared handles, moulded in relief with finches and berries picked out with white staining, etched mark to base R.LALIQUE FRANCE, height 22.7cm

When viewed from above it can be seen that some of the outer walls of the vase are slightly thicker than others in manufacture, as it is such a heavy vase there are inevitably a few minute nicks to the edge of the foot and occasional scratching or scuffing to the base, there are only a few minor internal flaws to the glass, essentially in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks.
Please note the base of this vase has been repolished around the foot and now steps inward where it should go straight downward.
