Martin Shreiner of Lancaster. A Federal American mahogany eight day longcase clock, the 14 inch painted arched dial with moonphase, and offset winding hole at number 4, signed and numbered 152, movement fitted with a later clarion, H.9ft

Case in good condition with a rich reddish mahogany colour and fine state of polish, dial looks to have the original painted finish with a fine craquelure running throughout, is rather dirty and needs some cleaning, hour, minute and date hands have been later painted gold, hour and minute hands are detached but still present, minute hand has had a soldered repaired, also detached but present is a central turned wood flambeau finial and two brass pointed ball finials, a hammer and wire arm and a winding key,pendulum is an unusually broad brass example, weights are cast iron, comes with trunk keys, movement looks complete with the later clarion fitted and installed with its winding hole at 4 o'clock, not tested for time keeping, see our photographs for further details.
