Estimate £500-800

One slightly angled separation in the two panels used to form the lid, in addition an old split running approx 10 inches on the left hand side and various scratch and scuffs marks to the top of varying age, a circular indentation remains where there was once presumably some sort of handle for lifting the lid, internally all looks good original and untouched, candle boxes to each side, one of which has a rather stiff lid, the interior holds the original internal locking latch, that was once attached to the missing lid handle, there is also a steel key, the feet are large turned bun examples which suffer from some splitting and at present are inside the coffer. Overall colours are good, there are some missing pieces of herringbone veneer from the left and right edges of the front and signs of some old worm holding to the left side of the front, sides have original heavy brass handles, overall a handsome piece of furniture. Not inlaid or veneered to the back.
