Thomas Ingram of London. An early 18th century walnut and seaweed marquetry eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch square brass dial signed on the silver chapter ring, with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, H.7ft 2in.

Overall this clock looks to have been in private hands for many years and suffers from some old damage, the case is of very good rich toffee brown colour, hood shows a central section of the moulding missing at the top, possible old additional stepping to the top of the case with holes where finials once were attached, slight losses to the top right corner of the dial door, dial itself in good clean condition, looks to have been restored in the past 20 years or so, slight lifting of the moulding to the left side of the trunk door, with some splitting discolouration and slight lifting of the inlay at the bottom, box base showing the right side moulding coming loose, with a later plinth foot that has been decorated to match the marquetry of the case, comes with a steel stemmed brass pendulum and two slender lead weights, and a steel winding key. Movement looks clean and complete, please request any additional photographs required.
