Oil on original canvas, in good untouched condition, very slight sag to the canvas with a hint of stretcher marks showing across the top and down the right side, possibly in need of a very light clean, signed and dated in the plinth of the urn, housed in a later reeded gilt frame. Label verso for Brandler Galleries of Brentwood. Inscribed on the back of the canvas, reproduced for the Womans magazine December ... 1950 by Mary Fedden. This is an unusually early work for Fedden showing her developing style, see also Lot 989.
