A Japanese Satsuma pottery gosu blue wine pot and cover, late 19th century, of flattened baluster form, finely painted with a cockatoo in a cage, furniture and vessels, two character gilt signature 'Nobuhiro' below a shimazu mon, 14.5cm

The interior of the wine pot is grubby, and there is very slight wear to the gilding on the finial, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks, the ivory figure of the tiger is in good condition with remnants of an ink inscription to the underside of the belly and a bronze pin in his front left foot so it slots in position on the wood stand, wood stand in good condition also.
