A late 19th century Black Forest carved wood jewellery casket, surmounted by two birds and carved with two flowers and edelweiss, width 11.5in. height 12.5in.

Overall a good rich light goldenish tone, a little dirty and dusty, tips of the reeds behind the birds and tip of one wing are broken away and missing, interior lined with original electric blue quilted silk padding, no sign of any key, one old worm hole to the back of the right foot which is a little loose.
