A large Bohemian ruby glass amphora-shaped vase, late 19th century, finely enamelled to a raised oval reserve with an aristocratic lady reading a letter, within gilt foliate borders, 47.5cm

There is some wear to the gilding around the top rim, the very edges of the handles, the base of ther neck and the shoulder of the vase and around the foot, otherwise in good condition with minor occasional scratches, no restoration, chips or cracks.
