Work with trees on the left - paper showing undulation and fading with sepia toned discolouration around the edges and more prominent fading to the centre, foxed and dirt marking scattered throughout the work, the other image with more notable damp effect giving sepia staining throughout but most notably in the upper section of the work, still retaining fair strength to the left and right sides, but the centre is mostly pencil rather than ink hence looks paler, signed and inscribed just left of centre, both housed in matching gilt gesso frames which are both very tatty, comes for sale from a local country house.
