A Staffordshire creamware figure of a recumbent ram and a similar pearlware figure of a recumbent ewe, late 18th century, both predominantly painted in semi-translucent green and ochre glazes, on hollow mound bases, length 14.5cm and 16.5cm, slight faults

This ram has restoration to his right horn and ear and crazing to the glaze all over, small chip losses to his left horn tip and ear, a few small shallow chips to the bottom edge. The ewe has an open firing crack to the seam join across her neck and head, chip losses to left ear, a few shallow chips around the bottom edge, glaze flakes to head and neck.
