A pair of Chelsea botanical dessert plates, c.1765, painted in 'Hans Sloane' style, the petal moulded border picked out in gilt, gold anchor marks, 21cm, one broken and repaired

Plate painted with yellow orchid and pink rose has some scratching to the glaze and some wear to the enamels in the very well of the plate, there are two small firing cracks to the rim, one extending into an internal crack within the porcelain body which shows as a hairline crack in the glaze to each side.
Plate with purplish pink flowers has a section of the rim broken and rivet repaired with some staining and tiny losses around the area, some scratching and wear to the well of the plate, no other restoration present.
