George Miles recorded 1799-1830
Case of a good rich brown mahogany tone, a number of fine cracks and old splits running through the veneering of the case, both to the sides and the front, with a notable repair near the door hinge and the opposing lock point, dial redone at some point but still with old retouched patches, naming to the dial fairly recent, lion mask ring handles look later as they hang over the arched pierced sides, support for the movement is a later replacement, movement looks to be clean, comes with pendulum, pendulum winding key and a case key. Bracket probably not the original but of the period and nicely made with a drawer, some fine cracks and splits running through the timbers of the bracket.
