Four Chinese blue and white small bowls, Kangxi / Yongzheng period, the first finely painted with a scene from the Romance of the Western Chamber, Ruoshen Zhen Cang four character mark, 5.5cm, the second with a band of chilong, 8.7cm, the third a fisherman on rocks, 5cm and the last lotus, Kangxi mark, 5cm (4)

The four-character mark, ruoshen zhen cang (cherished and collected by ruo-shen), was a popular studio mark during the Kangxi and Yongzheng periods.


The bowl with the Ruoshen Zhen Cang mark has a minute firing crack to the rim and a tiny glaze chip to the rim otherwise good
The second with a band of dragons has a John Sparks Ltd label, a few splinter chips to the rim and a crack to the raised foot
The third with fisherman on rocks has a small shallow chip to the edge otherwise good
The last painted with lotus and Kangxi mark has some imperfections to the glaze, a firing crack to the foot and some slight mis-shaping to the foot.
