Oil on canvas which is now starting to sag a little, slightly bowing out at the centre where there are a few cracks showing in line with the central stretcher, further fine cracks showing in the white of the sky towards to the top right corner, and one or two short cracks showing in the thick paint of the sea, but otherwise good, looks a little dirty and would benefit from a clean, signed lower left, housed in a later gilt frame which is in good condition.
Sothebys yellow chalk marks verso and a stick dated 15 November 1993 which is when this item is thought to have been purchased from auction with Sothebys.
