A George III mahogany serpentine sideboard, fitted three drawers with dummy side drawers, on square tapered legs, W.6ft 4in. D.2ft 6in. H.3ft

Top looks to have been repolished within the past 10 years or so and has a colour that is slightly lighter than the main body, scattered fine surface scratches and a little spotting but overall good, filled holes where it once had a rail back, front and sides of good rich dark original colour in a good state of polish, handles quite probably original, unusual feature of dummy drawers at each side, both right and left side drawers fitted as cellarets, inner leg on the left side has been broken and repaired many years ago but this now shows with a diagonal line where the lower portion has bleached considerably more than the upper portion - this required re-staining but no further repair, some small loss of cockbeading to the right side of the arch, overall an honest piece of furniture.
