A 19th century French chestnut and elm dining table, with circular top and frieze drawer, on square tapered legs, W.3ft 8in. H.2ft 5in.

Top consisits of 4 planks, which appear quite warped. There are visible gaps between the planks. Visible nail heads around the top. There are numerous old scratches and nicks to the top in general. One of the side planks has visible surface cracks/splits. One of the central planks has a split to the edge approx. 4 inches in length. There is also a sizeable piece of wood now missing from the edge of the other central plank. There is evidence of old worm damage to the underside of the top and more visible worming to the base and legs, the base of one leg is quite bad. There is again evidence of old worm damage to the drawer front, which also has a large knot and a bad split. General condition is quite poor.
