A collection of eighteen Chinese grey and green jade excavated bangles, Ming dynasty or earlier, the stone with some calcification, of various tones with russet and brown inclusions, each approx. 7.4cm diameter

There is definitely some significant age to these bangles, the surface of the jade has been etched by the action of being buried in the ground for some time with some calcification and dulling to the jade, the majority of the bangles have a single crack through them, one example has been broken in half and evidence of an old staple repair which has been removed and filled. There are varying thickness and colour with inclusions and dull lustre to many of the bangles.
Every single bangle has one or more cracks, some are quite fine, others have some slight splinter losses around the area.
