Lot 246 , A Bilston Foundries Ltd cast iron garden bench and table

A Bilston Foundries Ltd cast iron garden bench and table, designed by Edward Bawden, c.1956, a similar example can be found in the rose garden at Cliveden House, bench W.4ft 1in. H.3ft 2in. table W.3ft 6in. H.1ft 6in.

Both items have numerous rust spots/areas in generals, a typical result of weathering, but are both sound. No visible damge to the metalwork. One of the wooden slats on the bench is damaged at one end (piece missing). Glass for table has signs of weathering also.
