Lot 529 , Two late 18th/early 19th century gold mounted silhouette pendants and two brooches

Two late 18th/early 19th century gold mounted silhouette pendants and two brooches, by John Miers (1756-1821), the pendants depicting a lady or gentleman to sinister, the former with lock of hair beneath a glazed panel en verso, the two lockets of a lady to dexter and a gentleman to sinister, the latter of octagonal form, all signed "Miers", largest 1.5in.

Largest- Deep scratch to the glass at the back of the head. Signed just below left of bust. There is some slight surface crazy to the subject. There are some light surface scratches to the glass en verso and there is visible dirt beneath the panel, mainly visible around the bottom end.
Plain oval to sinister- Signed to just below left of bust. Some very minor pitting to the surface of the subject. Some slight green oxidisation to right edge of oval. Tiny chip to surface of back panel. Overall condition is otherwise generally good.
Oval brooch with plaited border- Scratches to the glass, a couple quite deep. Signed just below right of bust. Subject appears to have some minor pitting/crazing, hard to see clearly as there is some dirt beneath the glass. There is a small dent to the gold panel en verso and the brooch pin is a little bent.
Octagonal brooch- Minor surface scratches to the glass. Some slight surface pitting/crazing to the subject. Faint but visible signature to below left of bust. Two small chips to the panel top left edge. Visible dirt beneath panel also. There is a small dent to the gold panel en verso and the pin is blunt and again is a litttle mishapen.
