Arab boy - black and white chalk on a dull brown finish paper, a number of small dirt and fox marks are on both the work and the glass with the majority being on the glass rather than the work itself, monogrammed and dated lower right, housed in its original gilt oak glazed frame which is now rather tatty, original papering to the back remains with a typed label giving the details of it being bought at sale 62 Avenue Road, NW November 12 1902, a further hand inscribed label stating the same thing and an Eastbourne depository label.
Head study similarly executed, one or two dark fox marks on the work and further dirt marks on the glass, original framing again rather tatty again with broken glass and patch verso where it once had a label.
Both rather flat and thought to be laid down.
