A Chinese pottery compressed globular bowl and cover, early 20th century, possibly Yixing, slip decorated with calligraphic inscriptions, impressed maker's mark, width 25.5cm

There is a small shallow chip to the inner sleeve of the cover which many have been made in manufacture. There is some wear to the rim of the bowl, and some general minor imperfections in the manufacture and glaze, the mask handles are lacking the metal rings and have some firing cracks to them, there is some scuffing around the exterior of the bowl, otherwise in good condition with no restoration or cracks. The wood stand has re-glued legs and is missing the stretcher.
