The natural core of the ivory can be seen at the back of the figure and beneath its right jowls, a fine age crack to the top of the right hind leg, otherwise slight grubbiness to the figure but generally in good condition with no chips or restoration, the figure is attached to the wood stand by a bamboo peg drilled into his front left paw.
