A 17th century oak chest, of two short and three long drawers, with geometric moulding and panelled sides, on stile feet, W.3ft 3in. D.1ft 11in. H.3ft 1in.

This chest separates in to two sections, the division being through the middle, the division being below the second drawer, overall of good rich colour, top has a clear separation between the two boards and some scattered old wear marks along with some old worm holes and other signs of small damage, one crescent sized dent knocked out of the front moulded edge on the left hand side above the left hand drop handle, at some point this was fitted with knob handles the holes for which are now only partially concealed by the top two escutcheons, lock missing from the bottom drawer, bases of drawers look to have been reboarded at some stage, there is a little moulding loose from the second drawer down but the pieces are still present. Overall good condition.
