A large 19th century brass Islamic Mamluk revival vase, with bands of calligraphy and engraved niello decoration, 45in.

Overall uneven oxidisation to the brass work with a number of shallow surface dents and knocks, black enamelling has worn away in many areas, signs of old soldering repairs around the top of the main cylindrical body and equally where the main body meets the foot, some bending and distortion of the flared rim.
