A Chinese export sandalwood rectangular box, mid 19th century, carved in high relief with figures amid pavilions and trees, floral borders, 26.5cm, hinges detached

Cover loose as both hinges are detached, pin on clasp has been cut. Shallow chips to two corners of the cover, slight losses to moulding each side of rear right hinge and silk lining frayed, later varnished finish.
