Lot 440 , An early George II silver coffee pot by Edward Vincent, gross 28 oz.

An early George II silver coffee pot by Edward Vincent, gross 28 oz.

An early George II silver coffee pot by Edward Vincent, of tapering cylindrical form, with engraved armorial and panelled spout, London, 1729, lid unmarked, 9in, gross 28 oz.
Estimate £300-500

The engraved armorial is a little tired. There are some minor bumps and dings around the main body but there are two larger dents, one just above the base and one to the underside of the base. The finial is bent and has been pushed downwards. The lid appears mishapen when viewed from the side. The handle is a probable replacement. Marks on base clear. Lid unmarked. Small dent to top of finial.
