A William IV mahogany harpist's stool, with lyre shaped back and revolving seat, H.2ft 10in.

Good even rich mahogany colour, both scroll tips to the uprights of the back stiles have as some point been broken away and now restuck, what appears to happen is that the cresting rail broke backwards so has now been repaired with pegged holes to each side but the old cracks still show and a piece of the top right section of the cresting rail has equally been broken away and now restuck. Joint between the cresting rail and the top of the lyre looks reglued as one might expect from the aforementioned damage, back of the lyre reveals to old brass plates with numerous screws inserted to reinforce the lyre. Seat is old yellow damask now torn, legs with fair small dents and nicks but basically good, revolving screw action working well.
