A pair of Chinese famille verte ovoid jars and covers, late 19th century, each finely painted to shaped reserves with antiques, birds amid trees and insects and flowers on a green dotted ground painted with dragons amid peonies, the shoulder with ruyi head lappets, concentric underglaze blue rings to base, 31cm, one cover repaired

Both jars are in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, one of the covers has been broken and stapled with some discoloured restoration around the areas and some slight chipping and losses around the crack, there is also some fritting to the glaze on the under rim of that cover, the second cover has some very shallow glaze chips to the underside of the rim, otherwise in good condition.
