A Victorian silver christening mug by John Samuel Hunt, of tapering cylindrical form, with rustic handle, vacant cartouche and embossed with continuous fruiting vine decoration, on a textured ground, stamped on base " Hunt & Roskell late Storr & Mortimer 8698", London, 1857, 3.25in, 6 oz.

There are two old proffesional repairs to the foot, mainly visible from the underside and only just visible from the exterior. There also appears to be an old repair to the top left of the handle where it joins the body. The foot rim has taken a couple of minor knocks also and there is a small ding on the exterior of the foot rim approximately 5mm upwards from the bottom. Hallmarks clear.
