Lot 445 , Two George III teapot stands.
A George III silver teapot stand, of cusped oval form, with beaded border, on four claw and ball feet, Makepeace & Carter, London, 1776, 9in, together with a smaller similar teapot stand with engraved armorial, maker's mark only for Aldridge & Green (stamped 4 times), London, circa 1780, 6.25in, 16 oz.

Large stand- There is some wear to the border, a few tiny holes beginning to appear predominently to the "pinched" angles. There are some heavy scratches to the base and someone has felt tip penned the number "177" to the base. Slightly wobbly when on a flat surface. Hallmarks clear although some rubbing to the maker's mark.
Small stand- Probable old small repir to the beaded border. All feet have been pushed upwards slightly. There is a small split to the silver just behind one foot. "128" has been felt tip penned on the base. All marks clear
