A Victorian textured silver Askos jug by John Samuel Hunt, with applied cast goat surmounts and pierced acanthus leaf capped handle with cherub below, the foot rim stamped "Hunt & Roskell late Storr & Mortimer 7047", London, 1854, 8.5in, 30 oz.

There are three minor dents around the base and there is some wear to the facial features of the cherub below the handle. There is a small dent to the interior of the rim. Overall condition is otherwise good. Hallmarks clear, although therer is some light rubbing to the maker's mark.
