A pair of Chinese famille rose moon flasks, 19th century, each painted with battle scenes, 24.2cm, one neck repaired, slight losses to handles

painted with figures on horseback and pheasants amid rockwork and foliage, on a coral ground decorated with shou , lotus flowers, fruit and scrolling foliate, ruyi head and lappeted borders, the shoulders applied with stylised gilt chi-dragon handles.

One of the flasks has a section of the neck broken and restuck with some splinter chip losses on the inside and a loss to the tip of one of the handles, the second flask has losses to the tails of the dragon handles and a slight scuff mark to the side painted with birds, otherwise typical minor glaze imperfections.
