A 19th century French Colin of Nancy violin, with label dated 1881, cased with bow

There are typical scuffs and scratches to the violin body all over, there are a few fine splits around the pierced S's on the front of the violin, there is wear to the varnish and the wood where the violin rests against the neck and at the top left where the violin is facing forward, next to where the neck joins the body there is some splitting and cracking, possibly an old repair, to the edge of the body, discolouration to the varnish on the neck, otherwise in reasonable condition. Bow is unmarked and has cellotape holding the metal binding in position, no apparent splits, cracks or chips. Case in worn condition, handle broken off.
