Estimate £200-300

Overall of a good rich mid golden brown colour, the top is clearly all original, a later oak moulding has been added to the top of the stand and overall the stand has the appearance of having been completely reconstructed probably in the 1930's, top of the chest - lock missing from left drawer, lock never been fitted to the right drawer, locks present to all three long drawers but no key, all three long drawer fronts have slight outward bowing and signs of old fair wear and tear along with repairs to the veneers dividing the drawers, sides are stained pine with signs of old splitting, worming etc, base drawers look to be reconstructed from a single drawer, much of their veneers is pulling away, one large section at the bottom is loose but inside the drawer, the smaller section missing in the top right corner is not present, apron again has some losses to the veneers, oak sides to the stand - one section to the back of the front right leg is missing. Overall as is typically with these chests on stands, the top is good but the stand is a later reconstruction and it is the later reconstruction that requires some attention.
D.1ft 9in. H.4ft 11in.
