One bottle of Chateau Lafite 1945, Premier Cru Classe, Pauillac; vintage-embossed bottle, level mid-upper shoulder, good colour for age, label lightly stained and nicked, remnant of capsule adhering to collar, top of exposed cork appears dry and sound, 1945 and 'Rothschild' can be seen stamped clearly on cork. One of the greatest vintages of the twentieth century and remarkably, coming at the end of the war and following years of inevitable neglect.
