Externally this looks to have good age v- the patination is dark and dirty. The front right edge of the sliding lid is broken away and missing. There are worm holes scattered throughout.
Inspection of the inside reveals that this is a well made copy, probably dating from the past 20 years or so. The internal finish is raw and recent and betrays the supposed age of the piece.
