A Meissen figural four light candelabrum, late 19th century, the stem modelled with a seated man holding a girl, on quadriform base painted with birds and insects, the separate candelabra fitting with flower encrusted branches, underglaze blue crossed swords mark and incised model no.D177, 46.5cm, slight losses

All of the nozzles to the candele branches are separate pieces fixed in with the composition / putti, two with substantial losses to the leaf collars, the branches with typical minor losses to the leaves and flowers, the candlestick base appears to have a later nozzle which has been fixed in with a thread and screw with painted composition underneath where it fits into the shaft, there are a few splinter chips around the edge of the base and a slight firing crack beneath the base otherwise in good condition.
