Oil on canvas, cleaned, relined and restored some years ago, canvas remains tight, a fine but stable craquelure running through much of the paint, notable through the flesh tones and perhaps showing a hint of lifting near her neck line, otherwise some bitumous bubbling in the dark area around her face remains evident and is exacerbated by a slightly shiny varnish, no sign of any signatures or inscriptions, housed in a later gold painted frame.
