A rare Worcester sauceboat, c.1765, finely basketweave moulded, painted in underglaze blue with oriental figures within a moulded cartouche, 20.5cm

There are two black burnt specks to the glaze at the join of the handle and on the thumb rest of the handle, there is an overglazed firing crack to the left side of the join of the handle at the top, there is occasional scratching to the glaze all over, most notably in the interior, there is a feint hairline crack to the foot in line with the spout side, the underside has an open crescent mark, generally good condition.
