James Robinson, London. A George III ebonised pear wood bracket clock, the 8.5 inch arched brass dial with silvered strike / silent, Roman chapter ring, false pendulum and date aperture, the case with later Regency gothic penwork panels, twin fusee movement with verge escapement, foliate engraved backplate and bob pendulum, 20.5in.

Case looks original with rubbing down to the base wood at the raised edges, penwork panels to the front and sides probably a later edition, c.1800, one small piece of moulding missing from the top left of the door, dial looks original with fair oxidisation, a small section of veneer and some splitting showing inside the door to the top right of the dial, no key to the case, escapement looks adapted probably converted back to verge, rather crudely at the back cock, otherwise good honest condition and should restore to good effect.
