A Worcester scale blue plate, c.1770, painted with butterflies and exotic birds in gilt cartouches on a scale blue ground, blue fret seal mark to base, 21cm

Some slight wear to the gilding on the edge and some fritting to the blue enamels near the area of wear to the gilding, occasional minor scratches to the glaze front and back, occasional black speckling and fritting to the underside of the rim. There is a 3mm shallow chip to the rim at the 11 o'clock position with a 9mm horizontal crack extending from it to the underside of the rim just further anti-clockwise from this is an area of abrasion to the point of one of the petals of the moulded edge, otherwise good condition.
