A Mintons bone china yellow ground gondola shaped vase, cover and stand, c.1894, in imitation of a Sevres pot pourri, 37cm, broken at t

A Mintons bone china yellow ground gondola shaped vase, cover and stand, c.1894, in imitation of a Sevres pot pourri, painted by Antoine Boullemier, one side with a lady reading a love letter, the other side with a lady and child and animals, within raised gilt cartouches on a rich yellow ground, the pierced quatre lobed cover painted with trophies emblematic of music surmounted by a gilt chrysanthemum finial, gilt mark to base with retailer's mark for Daniell, Wigmore Street, London, impressed marks including England, 37cm, broken at the base
Estimate £500-700

Pot pourri vase comes in three parts, the gondola shaped body has been completely broken off around the base around rocaille gilt decoration, with some slight splintering to the glaze around the area which exposes the white bone china body with some occasional vertical cracks, when viewed from the interior it can be seen that the very base of the vase has been broken into five sections and restuck around the central bolt, the separate stand itself shows the bolt on from the other side and there is a star crack running across the whole of the base of the stand, there is also a hairline crack running across part of the S shaped scroll moulding to one foot, the cover is in good condition.
The estimate reflects the fact that there is substantial damage to the base of the vase.
The vase has been glued with PVA so is reversible.
