Bronze with a matted golden patination, a little dirty with dust in the crevices, is not fixed tightly to the plinth and therefore some rubbing showing at the top of the plinth where the head has been rotated, signed Dobson at the back of the neck, this is the same example that was recently offered for sale in a London auction but at a considerably higher estimate.
