Unframed oil on very thin original canvas which is coming away from the stretcher and would require re-stretching, probably re-lining, canvas now has some slight creases showing through it most notably on the right hand side where it has been pushed in a little against the stretcher, marks showing around edges where it has previously been covered by a mount or frame, paint is dirty with some light craquelure most notably in the blue just to the left of her head however does not appear to be flaking, work is not signed, has every appearance of being an illustrators artwork for the purposes of advertising which would explain the lack of a signature, one small patch applied behind the building beneath the Ovaltine sign, this has been due to a 2 inch diagonal tear which has been reasoanbly, but not perfectly, repaired. A small sketch of a head has been executed verso, overall should restore to good effect.
